Trip Inspection
Ensure that your drivers are fully trained, familiar and evaluated on the National Safety Code daily vehicle trip inspection standard.
The daily vehicle trip inspection is required under the Canadian National Safety Code and is intended to ensure early identification of vehicle problems and defects, and to prevent the operation of vehicles with conditions that are likely to cause or contribute to a collision or vehicle breakdown.
The standard applies to all motor carriers and drivers operating commercial vehicles as defined in the NSC and may apply to you if your company operates vehicles with a registered GVW over 4500 kg.
This ½ day course is conducted on site at your facility with your vehicles to ensure driver familiarity with your specific equipment.
The course includes BOTH classroom and practical instruction and features a HANDS-ON inspection on one of your vehicles.
A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION is awarded to participants passing the final evaluation.
What your employees will learn:
- The 23 critical items of inspection that must be checked each day
- How to minimize trip inspection time requirements
- How to differentiate between a minor and major defects
- How to properly complete paperwork
- The requirements to carry and produce a copy of Schedule 1
