My history in driver training, and road safety goes much further back than when I started Thinking Driver. I got my start in this field teaching motorcycle riders in 1983 and eventually worked my way up to instructors, emergency vehicle operators and finally consulting with licensing agencies on road testing and examiner training. In 2001, I started Thinking Driver and shortly after, we tool on our first serious contract with Canada Customs, training officers in trailer towing.
My goal has always been to make a difference in road safety and hopefully save a life (or more) because of my work. I was honoured in 2008 by Transport Canada and the TAC with an award of achievement and again in 2013 by the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering.
I never dreamed that my work would result in a company voted Best Safe Driving Training Services in Canada!
Since our early days, Thinking Driver has seen expansion across Canada and we have cooperating distribution agencies for our world class Defensive Driving Fundamentals and Attitudes course in Saskatchewan and in Nova Scotia where we are government approved for Penalty Point Reduction and Graduated Licensing.
I can sincerely say that the honour of this award belongs entirely to my team who are passionate and dedicated to driver education and safety across our great land. I am deeply grateful to each of them and the talent and committment they bring to our company.
